I recently gave a lesson to Crestview member Grant Glasgow. Grant is a 5 handicap and has been playing golf for most of his life. Grant came to me looking to improve his full swing. He was struggling with consistent contact and that was affecting the number of greens/fairways he would hit in a round and finally his scores…Grant had taken limited lessons during his golf career and had built himself into a pretty good golfer. After viewing his swing on our slow motion HD camera system we noticed Grant had several swing “flaws” that were making it hard to make consistent contact. After our video analysis session, I decided that it was necessary to perform a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Player Function Examination. This exam is used to determine a golfers strengths and weaknesses in body; flexibility, strength, coordination and balance.
After our TPI Examination revealed that Grant has terrific body function in most areas we were able pave a clear path to his golf swing improvement.
If you are like Grant and have been struggling with your swing for a while, think about seeing your local TPI Certified professional for a TPI Player Evaluation and let them help you build a body and/or golf swing that will lead to lower scores, more enjoyment and most importantly a healthier you!
